Updates...

Suprisingly, it's been pretty slack after India... I forsee a predictable problem when full troop draws nearer... All of us has slipped into pang kang mode already... Oh well... I think i should be able to force myself through one last FTX... Kinda wanna see what an FTX in 42 will be like also...

The patapon fever in bunk is getting quite serious... Six people infected, chionging everynight.... Lol... I've been busy alternating between my PSP and DS everyday.... Man i could get used to this sort of life... It's amazing there're something who do this throughout their entire NS cycle... This is so unfair...

India followed on with an unless slew of diarrhoea effect... It's not exactly diarrhoea actually, but my shit hadn't been solid after since India... In fact, i just had my first solid shit only yesterday... It's pretty bad... And i keep farting those extremely smelly farts....

Met my 41 glory platoon 6 last saturday for dinner... Pretty nice seeing them again... Had fun insulting J quek... Weelll, he's flying off to Japan so i've got to make use of my limited chances.

Right now, i just want the ftx to come quick and be done with. After which, i will fully focus on preparing myself for civilian conversion course. Which i really do need to prepare quite alot of things... I'll need to do quite abit of planning for upcomming stuff... My studies in Australia will require more indepth thought consideration. And of course there's the short term goal of feeding myself after i ORD.

I'll need to make sure i get a job. Tentatively, i'll probably apply to be a relief teacher... HOPEFULLY i can get into giving tuition. Of course to do that, i'll need to get my brains working properly... NS has sucessfully screwed it up. Or at least screw it in the wrong direction.

Things are gonna get pretty different...

Back from curryland

Initially, i was thinking whether calling the country curryland might be a little on the stereotyping frame of mind. Now that i'm back, it's no exeggeration. Every meal contains curry. Like seriously. The only meal with no curry was when we ate at this chinese restaurant on the last day of R&R if you can even call it that. Which brings me to another point. It's pretty darn amazing but indian people cook damn good chinese food.

It might be sheer biasness but just about everyone agrees that the food by the indian caterer at the camp actually tastes alot better than SFI. Oh well... In any case, India was an interesting enough experience...

Cowdungland might be another appropriate name for it, but that would be kind of condescending and insulting perhaps to some. But no shit, that place is full of land mines. Be in at the training area in the middle of the desert, or right straight off the streets right outside Taj Mahal. Every where is cowdung. Of course, it might have been excrement from various other species of cattle or dairy animals that roam the place, but cowdung generally makes a more condusive term.

I got to meet the biscot boyz too... I'm an eternal fan. Seriously if i ever get like filthy fucking rich, i'll buy a container full of biscuits and head over there and start distributing.

Yet another plausible name would be 'you-will-definitely-lau-sai land'. It's like your fecal movements magically convert into liquid form while you're there. Pretty amazing really. Of course, the weather can get pretty screwed up. Belching hot in the day, freezing at night. And dry dry dry all around. The lips will crack like crazy. It's basically almost like a desert already. Perhaps a milder version of a desert. We even saw camels there... Along with lots of cows, goats, bufflos etc. living harmoniously with a lot of dogs. Makes me wonder what they eat there... Our presence was probably the most well fed period the dogs ever had. And of course, the biscot boyz...

Nosebleeding is also pretty common there. Ironically, i experienced mine at night... I even had a second nosebleed like... Today... When i touched down on Singapore in the plane. It's pretty bizzare actually.

Monkeys and squirrels swarm the Taj Mahal area along side the regular dairy animals with their incessent dung. Evidently, i was more distracted with the rampant fauna lives than one of the seven wonders of the world the amazing Taj Mahal. Although to give it some credit, that thing is really pretty darn impressive looking.

Over there, the biscot boyz transform into tajmahal boyz... Although this time round, their roles are reversed. Instead of attempting to obtain biscuits from us like their desert counterparts, these city variants attempt to force miniature Taj Mahal key chains and models upon us.

All in all, i'd say Incred!ble India was a pretty incredible experience. I'd say it at the very least makes me grateful for my dear country Singapore. Perhaps this might be some secret ploy SAF uses in an attempt to make us more loyal to our country. In any case, it was definitely something different, and it's always good to add something different to my experiences.

Ahhhhh....

Seems i'm pretty overdue for my new post, well at least i didn't take two years.

In any case, i suddenly had the mood to type some crap before i fly off to curryland. It might actually be a rather stereotyping and condescending or whatever you wanna call it to actually call the place curryland, but i don't have much of a choice since the only thing there i can even remotely look forward to is perhaps some good curry.

Maybe i'm being overly pessismistic, but there really just isn't the mood for an overseas training trip at this point. My brain is filled with nothing buy the smell of my pink ic pulling me forward. I'm trying my utmost best to stay positive actually. Well, i suppose Taj Mahal would be a good experience.

Now let's do some reflection over what has happened for a past month. Well, things got a little less shitty back in that shit hole. At least i haven't had to work my ass off every single day. In fact there were quite a number of days where i almost felt the myth of the legendary LULL PERIOD i was deceived into believing existed. Well, i think i've almost officially gone into 'pang kang' mode by now. India and one more full troop...

Well, despite how i may totally wanna throw everything aside, i of course still have to make sure i don't screw up my responsibilities. One of the things i've told myself i need to fulfil is to make sure my understudy/sucessor i.e. the dude that takes over me is well trained. Ok well trained might not be the best term to used but in any case, i'll make sure i teach this guy all he needs to know and does things properly. I owe my men that much in the least.

Well aside from army stuff, i'm still spending too much money... I have no idea how i survive actually. Guess i really need to thank God for his wonderful blessings. At the rate i spend, it's amazing my money doesn't drain dry completely. And my revelation that i might be drinking too much is still carrying on. It's pretty interesting how i used to think graveyard had this legendary status where if you drink a glass of it you're definitely going bonkers. Now i drink that shit every week and i'm hooked. I better not turn alcoholic...

Well, in retrospect, i think i'm definitely gonna miss the times in NS after i ORD. As shitty as the days might have been, NS really is one of those times where you get the most fond and amazing memories that you would never receive elsewhere. There are so many things you do and experience in army that is impossible to happen any where else. Some of them are so ridiculous you never wanna forget any of them. I've had some really great times and met some really interesting people.

I've of course met plenty of shitty people that's for sure, but who's to say to some who have met me, i might've been one of those shitty people. With my unrefined mouth and agitated and dramatic outbursts, i'm pretty sure i've pissed off plenty of people.

Oh well... For now, i'll just say who gives a shit... Perhaps some time in the near future, i'll do my best to errr... Tone down a little?
