Back from curryland

Initially, i was thinking whether calling the country curryland might be a little on the stereotyping frame of mind. Now that i'm back, it's no exeggeration. Every meal contains curry. Like seriously. The only meal with no curry was when we ate at this chinese restaurant on the last day of R&R if you can even call it that. Which brings me to another point. It's pretty darn amazing but indian people cook damn good chinese food.

It might be sheer biasness but just about everyone agrees that the food by the indian caterer at the camp actually tastes alot better than SFI. Oh well... In any case, India was an interesting enough experience...

Cowdungland might be another appropriate name for it, but that would be kind of condescending and insulting perhaps to some. But no shit, that place is full of land mines. Be in at the training area in the middle of the desert, or right straight off the streets right outside Taj Mahal. Every where is cowdung. Of course, it might have been excrement from various other species of cattle or dairy animals that roam the place, but cowdung generally makes a more condusive term.

I got to meet the biscot boyz too... I'm an eternal fan. Seriously if i ever get like filthy fucking rich, i'll buy a container full of biscuits and head over there and start distributing.

Yet another plausible name would be 'you-will-definitely-lau-sai land'. It's like your fecal movements magically convert into liquid form while you're there. Pretty amazing really. Of course, the weather can get pretty screwed up. Belching hot in the day, freezing at night. And dry dry dry all around. The lips will crack like crazy. It's basically almost like a desert already. Perhaps a milder version of a desert. We even saw camels there... Along with lots of cows, goats, bufflos etc. living harmoniously with a lot of dogs. Makes me wonder what they eat there... Our presence was probably the most well fed period the dogs ever had. And of course, the biscot boyz...

Nosebleeding is also pretty common there. Ironically, i experienced mine at night... I even had a second nosebleed like... Today... When i touched down on Singapore in the plane. It's pretty bizzare actually.

Monkeys and squirrels swarm the Taj Mahal area along side the regular dairy animals with their incessent dung. Evidently, i was more distracted with the rampant fauna lives than one of the seven wonders of the world the amazing Taj Mahal. Although to give it some credit, that thing is really pretty darn impressive looking.

Over there, the biscot boyz transform into tajmahal boyz... Although this time round, their roles are reversed. Instead of attempting to obtain biscuits from us like their desert counterparts, these city variants attempt to force miniature Taj Mahal key chains and models upon us.

All in all, i'd say Incred!ble India was a pretty incredible experience. I'd say it at the very least makes me grateful for my dear country Singapore. Perhaps this might be some secret ploy SAF uses in an attempt to make us more loyal to our country. In any case, it was definitely something different, and it's always good to add something different to my experiences.
